Plane Crashes in Nepal, Killing Dozens
Dozens of people are feared dead after a passenger plane crashed shortly after takeoff in Nepal on Sunday.
The plane, a Yeti Airlines ATR-72, was carrying 72 passengers and crew when it crashed near the city of Pokhara. Witnesses reported seeing the plane on fire before it crashed into a gorge.
Rescue workers are currently at the scene, and the cause of the crash is under investigation. Yeti Airlines has expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and has launched an investigation into the incident.
This is the deadliest plane crash in Nepal since 1992, when a Thai Airways plane crashed into a mountain, killing all 113 people on board.
