2022 Fantasy Football Outlook

One of the many young wide receivers in the NFL and fantasy football is Pittsburgh Steelers WR Chase Claypool. With his 6'4", 238-pound frame and impressive athleticism, Claypool has the potential to be a dominant force in the league. In his rookie season in 2020, he caught 62 passes for 873 yards and 9 touchdowns. He followed that up with a solid 2021 campaign, recording 59 receptions for 860 yards and 7 touchdowns.

However, Claypool's production took a dip in 2022, as he caught just 32 passes for 314 yards and 1 touchdown. This was largely due to the inconsistent play of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers' overall offensive struggles. With Roethlisberger now retired and the Steelers bringing in former Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Claypool's fantasy outlook is once again on the rise.

Tagovailoa is a more accurate passer than Roethlisberger, and he is also more willing to take shots downfield. This should give Claypool more opportunities to make big plays.
